Grace Missions

Grace Missions (GM) is the Missions arm of Grace Assembly of God church. The Executive Church Board has delegated authority to Grace Missions to carry out the missions works of the church. The objective of GM is to fulfill the Great Commission by means of all types of ministries such as cross-cultural evangelism, relief work, training, teaching, church planting and media outreach.

Plant Churches | Prepare Leaders | Propel People

To date, we have largely been doing these three things. Specifically, we have been looking into developing suitable missions strategies, taking into account the aspects of timing, places, and people. We also educate and inspire the church congregation for world evangelization through effective praying, committed giving, and going to the field on short trips. We also train and develop workers for the mission field. We offer four levels of cross-cultural opportunities to the congregation (i.e. Local, Entry, Short-Term, and Career).

Other than that we have been building strategic partnerships with overseas churches as we are big on church planting and leadership training.

Reaching the Unreached

Grace Mission exists to “Reach the Unreached for Christ”.

By “unreached” we mean a people or people group among whom there is no viable indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize their own people without outside (cross-cultural) assistance.

Through God’s grace we aim to see an indigenous church planting movement in each people group of each region viz. ASEAN, South Asia, East Asia & Central Asia evangelizing their own people and reaching out in missions to other peoples.

We currently have Church Planting works in the following countries:

  • Indonesia
  • Vietnam
  • Laos
  • Myanmar
  • Cambodia
  • Sri Lanka
  • India
  • Bangladesh
  • Nepal
  • Butan
  • Pakistan
  • Kazakhstan
  • East Asia

We have regular Mission teams going to these places. If you want to be a part of these mission trips, do let us know.

Mission Trips

Mission trips are encouraged in order to promote greater awareness of the needs in the mission field. Mission trips are often a prelude to future long-term commitment to missions. It is proven that members who return from mission trips contribute effectively through intercessory prayer for these countries. There are generally three reasons why people would go on Short Term Mission Trips (STMTs). 1. Experience the culture of another people. This would mean observing the dressing of the people, eat their food, adapt to their ways of greeting. Bottom line, it means to attempt to blend in as much as possible. As trippers learn to respect the customs and sing the local Christian songs, this would expose trippers to a world outside their own so as to widen their perspective of life, God and the world. 2. Explore the work of the missionary and the local pastors. As trippers listen to their goals and passion for the people, this would usually result in an understanding as to why they do what they do. Hopefully, trippers would catch the vision and passion for leading the Lost to Christ, and in turn do the same in Singapore and around the world, wherever their influence brings them. 3. Extend the work of the Gospel. When trippers go for the various STMTs, they go as representatives of Christ and the Church. Trippers would seek to be a blessing to the locals by preaching, teaching English, many would find themselves sharing testimonies of God’s goodness and some would even find themselves being involved with community projects depending on the nature of the trips. Basically the point is to elevate the standard of the society, and through our doing, the name of Christ is being lifted up in the community.

Acts Programme

Available | Committed | Trained | Service This is what Grace Missions hope to produce in the participants of this programme. ACTS Missions Programme is catered for all repeat Short-Term Missions Trippers (STMT) who wish to experience missions for a period of three months. It seeks to help participants to be further exposed to the different facets of cross-cultural missions.

  • All participants must be 18 years old and above.
  • All participants must have joined a STMT prior to joining ACTS.

In-House Training

To prepare participants for their overseas missions stint, there would be three weeks of in-house training on a wide range of topics:

  • Preparing for Short Term Missions (eg. Team Building, Cultural Related Issues)
  • Perspective in Missions (e.g. Introduction to Missions)
  • Practical Ministry Skills (e.g. Personal Evangelism, The Person of the Holy Spirit)
  • Practicum (e.g. Mentoring, Children Ministry, Small Group Sharing)

Serve God, With Us! Besides going for Short-Term Mission Trips and joining us as a missionary, you can channel your passion for missions locally by contributing to the Mission Awareness team. Grace Missions is always looking for people to serve with her in the following areas: Publication | Video | Events

This arm of Mission Awareness seek to present quarterly mission updates and annual reports in print. On top of that we have ad-hoc print projects like this ministry brochure you currently have on your hand. We are actively seeking for Translators who would help us with the translation from English to Mandarin. Also we are looking for teams of Graphic Designers who would be able to design the various issues. It would be great also to have Editors and Project Managers (Print) would be willing to serve on the team.

As with the popular axiom, “a picture speak a thousand words”, here we believe that moving pictures speak millions. This arm of Mission Awareness seek to present quarterly mission updates in video. We are actively seeking out Producers, Cameramen, and Video Editors. On top of that, we have been praying for volunteers who would avail themselves in doing Voice-Overs.

We believe this conveys the heartbeat of Grace Missions in a real and tangible manner. This is when our missionaries in the various countries showcase their work in hope that you can understand the urgency of missions. We have mission booths set up quarterly in the church, during the Mission Awareness weekends. It is usually grander at the start of the year. Thus we are always in need for Booth Managers, and they would help to manage the individual booths. On top of that we are also looking for Event Managers to oversee the whole event.
